Youth Entrepreneurship Programs

Carma Lacy led the development of comprehensive youth programs focused on empowering diverse young populations. These initiatives included a Youth Entrepreneurship Program, which equipped participants with the skills to launch their own businesses, and a Foster Youth Career Exploration Program, offering career guidance and opportunities tailored to foster care alumni. Additionally, Carma introduced an App Development Program, where youth learned to design and build apps, and a Justice-Involved Youth Program aimed at reducing recidivism by providing education, training, and career pathways for incarcerated and at-risk youth. These programs promoted self-sufficiency, innovation, and long-term success for the next generation.

Veterans Employment Support

The Veterans Employment Assistance Program (VEAP) provided tailored support for veterans transitioning into civilian careers. This program offered specialized job search assistance, career counseling, and skills training to help veterans secure meaningful employment in high-demand sectors. By connecting veterans with employers and leveraging available resources, VEAP fostered economic stability and career advancement for those who served. The program gained widespread recognition for its commitment to empowering veterans and improving workforce outcomes. VEAP was one of the first initiatives Carma Lacy spearheaded that received national attention.

Adult & Dislocated Workers

Carma Lacy led the development and implementation of the Adult and Dislocated Worker Program(s), which provided career counseling, job search support, and training for in-demand industries. Focused on helping displaced workers and adults transition to new careers, the program promoted skill development and long-term economic stability. It has been recognized for its innovative solutions and successful outcomes in workforce development.

Carma Lacy created the OC Workforce Solutions Business Solutions Department and Program(s). OC Business Solutions provides tailored services to help local businesses grow and succeed by connecting employers with skilled talent, offering workforce training solutions, and providing resources for hiring and retention. Focused on meeting businesses' needs while supporting economic development, the program was instrumental in helping companies access workforce development funds and navigate compliance with WIOA regulations. This initiative fostered strong business and community partnerships, driving local economic growth.
